Service Engineer
We are looking for a Service Engineer who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting medical simulators at our customer premises across India.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning:
- Install and set up new medical equipment and Simulators according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform initial testing and calibration to ensure proper functionality.
Maintenance and Preventive Care:
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures on medical equipment and Simulators to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures and downtime.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs promptly to minimize disruption to healthcare services.
- Utilize technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and software to identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with manufacturers’ technical support teams for complex repairs or replacements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all medical equipment meets regulatory standards and compliance requirements, such as quality management systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments on equipment to mitigate potential hazards.
- Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting medical equipment.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and technical support to Faculty or healthcare staff on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical simulators.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance equipment utilization and user proficiency.
Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and facility managers.
- Respond promptly to service requests, inquiries, and emergencies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address concerns and provide proactive solutions to enhance the reliability and performance of medical equipment.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, instrumentation or a related field.
- Minimum experience – 2 years in servicing medical equipment, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Technical knowledge of medical simulator devices such as Patient simulators, surgical simulators, and Task Trainers are preferable.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electronic and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
